  • Praylev™ Pyro 220 is a leavening phosphate with a relatively slow rate of reaction typically used in bakery applications such as baking powder, cake and doughnut mixes, breading and batters.
  • Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) as a multiple purpose food substance in 21CFR182.1087 when used in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
  • Acceptable for use in accordance with the USDA Meat and Poultry Products Inspection Regulations, Manual of Procedures and policy guidelines applicable to the specific product in which used. Regulated for use in processed meat and poultry to a level not to exceed 0.5% by weight of the final product.
  • Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) in animal foods when used in accordance with good manufacturing or feeding practices under 21 CFR582.1087.
  • Sodium acid pyrophosphates are allowed as ingredients in or on processed products labelled as “organic” or “made with organic (specified ingredients or food groups(s))” in accordance with all restrictions under 7CFR205.605.
