- Product Applications
- Boiler Water Treatment: DSP is used to soften boiler water via precipitation of calcium, magnesium and other metal ions. Removal of these metal ions virtually eliminates the buildup of calcium carbonate scale which reduces boiler efficiency. DSP is also preferred for this application over alternate materials because of its stability at boiler water temperatures and its contribution to pH control of the boiler water.
- Phosphatizing Metal Cleaner: DSP is added to MSP or phosphoric acid phosphatizing baths to raise pH and to maintain the solution in the optimum pH range for efficient phosphatizing.
- Textile Dyeing: DSP is frequently used in textile dye baths as a buffering agent to maintain the bath in the optimum pH range for certain textile dyes.
