PetrolAid™ RDX is an innovative low pH organic salt technology that replaces traditional mineral and organic acids such as hydrochloric, citric, phosphoric, formic, sulfuric, and their blends. PetrolAid™ RDX uses an “on demand” technology that release the necessary amount of hydrogen ions (H+) to react with calcium scale and iron oxide to form water soluble ions, making PetrolAid™ RDX a preferable alternative to traditional acids with superior performance and cost advantages compared to several traditional acids. PetrolAid™ RDX is DOT non-regulated, non- fuming, non-corrosive to most metals, phosphate free, and a low contributor to BOD/COD in effluents.

Application Areas
  • PetrolAid™ RDX is used to stimulate oil production by dissolving the carbonate bedrock to produce fissures in the oil bearing rock formation
  • PetrolAid™ RDX is used to dissolve calcium & magnesium carbonate downhole to allow for more efficient oil production especially for the stimulation of mature wells.
  • PetrolAid™ RDX is used to clean pumps and metal pipes efficiently without corrosion related issues typically related to the use of Hydrochloric acid.
  • Cement Trucks, Equipment, and Tools Cleaners
  • Cleaners for Most Metals and Rust Removers
  • Unlike Hydrochloric Acid, Petrolaid RDX doesn’t require the addition of chemical additives to slow down the reaction with the rock matrix, or the need for expensive acid inhibitors or intensifiers
