  • Agricultural Chemicals : Can be used as an emulsifier and wetting agent in preparation of agricultural toxicant formulations.
  • Detergents : An intermediate for conversion to the sulfate ester used in the formulation of packaged household cleaners.
  • Dry Cleaning : Effective dry cleaning “soap” additive for chlorinated and petroleum-based solvents. Usually blended with other T-Det “N” series products for best results.
  • Emulsifier : Oil soluble surfactant for emulsifying light oils in water.
  • Leather Processing : Recommended for water washing of salt and greases from skins.
  • Metal Processing : Used in blends with other T-Det “N” series products in preparation of solvent cleaners based on aliphatic hydrocarbons or chlorinated solvents.
  • Paint : (Latex) A color development aid. Stabilizer and emulsifying agent for formulation additives such as alkyd vehicles.
  • Petroleum Products : Gasoline additive to prevent gas line freezing and carburetor

Storage & Handling

Storage, Stability and Handling Information
  • It should not be mixed with concentrated oxidizing or reducing agents since the mixture of these compounds with organic compounds could form a potentially explosive mixture.
  • T-Det “N” non-ionics are stable non-corrosive products in an anhydrous state.
  • They can be stored in plain steel tanks with piping, valves, and pumps of the same metal.
  • Aqueous solutions of T-Det “N”  surfactants must be stored in stainless steel or plastic lined tanks.
  • The nonyl phenol-ethylene oxide adducts are slightly hydroscopic.
  • Where it is necessary to guard  against atmospheric moisture pick-up, an inert gas blanket may be used.
