Processing Guidelines
  • This antifoam is effective in very low concentrations.
  • One to 50 parts of antifoam per million parts foamer are sufficient to suppress most foams.
  • When evaluating, it is suggested that the evaluation be started at 10 ppm silicone solids.
Diluting the Antifoam
  • AF-100 FG can be used as is or diluted prior to use.
  • Dilution or dispersion in either a solvent or the foaming media provides an excellent means of incorporating low concentrations of defoamer into a non-aqueous system.
  • Such dilution or dispersion also provides greater ease of handling and more effective use of the silicone.
