Calamide® CW-100 is a 2:1 coconut diethanolamide with good solubility in water. It is an excellent emollient and lubricant and can be used as a foam stabilizer and viscosity builder. The excess free DEA can be used to neutralize acid systems.

  • Liquid Detergents: Calamide® CW-100, in combination with Calsoft® linear alkylate sulfonates or Calfoam® alcohol ethoxy sulfates, produces copious foam mild enough for fine washables, yet efficient enough to cut grease on dishes.
  • Miscellaneous: Calamide® CW-100 is useful in emulsion systems, heavy duty cleaners, as a detergent and solubilizer, and for general stabilization of foam.

Calamide® CW-100 is available in 55-gallon Polyethylene or Lined Steel Drums. (net weight 465 lb/210kg), and bulk (tank rail and tank truck).

Storage & Handling

Storage and Handling Information

Store at temperatures above 45°F. Keep container closed when not in use to prevent moisture collection in the headspace. Normal safety precautions (i.e. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling. Material tends to gel when hit with a stream of water. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not get in eyes. Avoid skin and clothing contact. Organic vapor masks may be needed if material is processed at elevated temperatures. Do not store in presence of strong oxidizing agents.
