Macat® AO-8-40 is a multiuse nonionic surfactant that offers low foam, detergency, wetting and solubilizing performance for use in many household, institutional, and industrial applications such as hard surface cleaners, clean-in- place cleaners, and laundry detergents. Macat® AO-8-40 is compatible with nonionic, anionic, and cationic surfactants and is stable in hypochlorite and peroxide formulations. Also stable in acidic systems, Macat® AO-8-40 exhibits enhanced surface activity for use in acidic floor and bathroom cleaners. Macat® AO-8-40 is approved for use as an inert ingredient in pesticide formulations for nonfood use. For textile applications, Macat® AO-8-40 is non-rewetting above 350°F. The foaming properties and stability in brine solutions make Macat® AO- 8-40 a surfactant of choice for oil and gas applications.
