- Product Applications
- Emulsion Polymerization: Calimulse® EM-99 neutralized with a caustic, such as NaOH or KOH, produces light colored, low sulfate paste, highly desirable in emulsion polymerization as an emulsion stabilizer.
- Agriculture: Calimulse® EM-99, containing lower amounts of sulfuric acid, produces a calcium sulfonate that contains less calcium sulfate that has to be filtered. Calcium sulfonate is used an emulsifier for agricultural sprays.
- Emulsifier: Calimulse® EM-99, when neutralized with an alkyl amine, produces an amine sulfonate that is directly soluble in oil, alcohol, and non-aqueous media.
