Calfax® 16L-35 is a multi-functional product with surfactant, hydrotroping and coupling properties all in one molecule. It improves the solubility of other components in a formula. Due to these unique performance attributes Calfax® 16L-35 can be used in bleach, peroxide, alkaline, acidic, and high electrolyte solutions like concentrated brine. The C16 side chain promotes low CMC, surface tension reduction and lower (compared to C12) foam profile.

- Emulsion Polymerization: Calfax® 16L-35 offers substantially less foam than shorter chain disulfonates. It is an efficient emulsifier for ABS resins and styrene-butadiene latex, among others.
- HI&I Cleaners: Calfax® 16L-35 has exceptional wetting, detergency, soil removal, dispersion, and emulsification properties. It works well on greasy as well as particular soils. Calfax® 16L-35 is great for laundry, fine fabric wash, carpet cleaner, laundry and carpet pre-spotters, food processing cleaner, dairy cleaner, bathroom and toilet bowl cleaner, glass and all-purpose cleaner, foaming bleach and peroxy cleaners.
- Other Uses: Calfax® 16L-35 offers low foaming, excellent wetting, and emulsification properties. It is perfect for use in emulsifiable concentrates for agricultural applications. Calfax® 16L-35 can be combined with nonionic surfactants for hard-to-emulsify pesticide and herbicide formulations. Due to its exceptional grease cutting properties, Calfax® 16L-35 is well suited for scouring and other cleaning applications in textile. It is the surfactant of choice for use in dye baths for wetting and leveling.
