- Latex Emulsification: The high surface activity and the high electrolyte tolerance of Calfax® 10L-45 make it the surfactant of choice for the manufacture of latex emulsions for adhesives and foam rubber. These properties allow the user to operate the emulsification process under conditions that would not be usable with conventional surfactants, permitting greater control over the latex’s molecular weight and particle size.
- Agricultural Chemicals: The high emulsification and excellent water solubility of Calfax® 10L-45 can aid the formulator of agricultural emulsions by providing a broader blend of anionic to nonionic in hard to emulsify pesticides and herbicides.
- Dye Bath Leveling: Calfax® 10L-45 provides effective dispersion of organic and inorganic pigments in dye bath applications while maintaining the highest possible level of wetting of the substrate. Calfax® 10L-45 functions well in baths, which require either high levels of acidity or alkalinity in conjunction with high levels of inorganic salt.
- Heavy Duty Cleaners: Calfax® 10L-45 is uniquely effective as a solubilizer and surfactant when used in acid and alkaline cleaner formulations where conventional detergents lack sufficient solubility and bleach stability in the formula for necessary performance.
